Get started with Frakteren in an afternoon
You don't need a rollout project. Five steps from an empty account to your first completed transport order – and three mistakes that are easy to avoid.
New systems have a habit of turning into projects. It doesn't have to be that way. Frakteren is built to be simple, and the quickest way to find out whether it suits you is to run one real order through it – from need to delivered.
Five steps
- Create an account. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can sign in with email, Google or Apple.
- Bring in the right colleagues. Start with the people who actually order transport today, not the whole company. Three engaged users beat thirty who don't know why they were invited.
- Bring in your carriers. Talk to your regular carriers first. Explain that they will get orders in one format and won't have to call to chase details.
- Post a real order. Not a test. Pick a job that has to be done this week anyway, and enter everything you would have said on the phone.
- Follow it until it is delivered. Watch how status and documentation build up along the way, and ask both your colleague and the carrier what they missed.
Three mistakes that are easy to avoid
Running both ways for too long
A short transition period is sensible. But if orders are still also going by email after a month, people will trust the email. Set a date when Frakteren becomes the only way in.
Filling in too little
An order with only an address and a registration number leads straight back to the phone. Spend an extra half minute on the description and you save five minutes at the other end.
Forgetting the phone
Drivers don't work at a desk. Make sure they have the app installed and notifications switched on before the first job, not after.
The best rollout is the one nobody notices: suddenly it is simply how you order transport.
